Kyle’s Favourite: Hop Hog
Liz’s Favourite: Sly Fox (if you don't include Hop Hog)
Be warned that if you are
visiting this place on a public holiday then you will have a 15% surcharge on
food. The place in general had a very family vibe, on the weekend it was rammed
with parents and their kids running around. Not so much of a relaxing
experience but the beers were good.
We tried the Brendan Tasting
Platter that included:
Ferral White, Sly Fox and iWit
for the wheat beer medallion. Sly Fox was our favourite being the less sweet
one of the 3 and Ferral White was just too much banana going on for us.
Hop Hog- a hoppy and well
balanced IPA. A great beer all round, and winner of many awards.
Smoked Porter- a good stout but
to be honest we didn’t get much of a smokey flavor to our untrained palette.
Boris- this was HEAVY! Almost
porter like imperial stout. Liz wasn’t a fan but it is all personal taste.
We also tried the Watermelon
Warhead. It tasted like a shower gel and we won’t be having it again any time
soon…
And here they all are:
| In Order: Watermelon Warhead, Ferral White, Sly Fox, Hop Hog, iWit, Smoked Porter, Boris. |
That they're colour sequenced pleases my brain....
